When things shift into digital space, it’s common to see people rushing to into the space. With cable TVs becoming quite expensive, there has been an increase in other cheaper TV options. One such kind is Tivisi.com, which offers digital TV antennas. They offer an indoor antenna that was apparently designed using discreet military technology, making it durable, powerful, and trust-worthy.
What exactly does the Antenna do?
To understand what they offer, one must first understand what an antenna really does. According to some users, HD signals are like radio waves, which are in the air and can be picked up by an antenna.
But HD is a function of a turner rather than antenna as the website states. That seems like a big marketing gap that the company uses to entice people into buying their products.
The distance is questionable
With most TV signals, the closer you’re to the transmitter, the better pictures you you will get. For people living in cities, Tivisi may work well for them, but the more you travel outside cities, the more sketchy it gets and signals fade away.
Tivisi claims that their products have a multidirectional reception of up to 50 KM. But this does not seem true and the distance may actually be lower than that.
Though they have indicated this in fint print, it is a case of marketing ploy to showcase exaggerated details in big letters, but the disclaimer in smaller fonts.
Overall, Tivisi does not appear to be a scam, but they have used marketing tricks to exaggerate what they offer. They don’t offer much technical information about their products and users should proceed with caution. Products may not work as well as they are advertised.
