Getting a comfortable sack to relax at home is a dream for many. Who would not want to find a comfortable place to rest after a long day at work? But buying one online can be a hit or miss.
That’s why, when people searched for mysnugbean.com on ScamAdviser, we got curious to know more about the company. Stick around as we uncover the ins and outs of this webshop.
When were they started?
According to the domain information, the domain namewas registeredin June 2022, making the site a few weeks old. While there is nothing wrong with this, new websites are hard to trust as there is not enough information out there to help make an informed decision.
The customer reviews
On the same note, we could not find any reviews about the site on any of the popular sites like ScamAdviser, Trustpilot, or SiteJabber. This could be due to the fact that the site is barely two months old.
However, on the site, the products have a high number of reviews. For instance, the SNUG BEAN™ LARGE COMFY SACK has over 470 customer reviews. This did not make sense at all as to why there were many reviews about the products on the site but not anywhere else. But when we searched some of the reviews, we found striking similarities with the same reviews on Amazon. It looks like Mysnugbean is copying exact reviews on Amazon to try and win the customer’s feedback.
Too good to be true prices
Usually, a webshop will try as much as possible to convince customers to buy from them. The marketing of Mysnugbean.com leaves a lot to be desired as some seem too good to be true. For instance, the SNUG BEAN™ LARGE COMFY SACK goes for a discount price of $49.00.
The same product is sold on Amazonfor $164.99 which is even higher than the original price of $100 claimed by Mysnugbean.com. While Amazon is not always the hallmark of prices in the market, having such a big difference in prices raises some eyebrows.
Deceptive marketing?
Apart from the unbelievable prices, there is a slideshow of Twitter accounts of big celebrities who seem to be embracing the items. However, the pictures are dated 2021, months before the site was started. How could celebrities embrace products before a site was started?
Where are they located?
Locations are very important for businesses as they help build the confidence of users. Mysnugbag.com claims to be at 3936 Holley Rd, Moravia, New York(NY), 13118.
But when I searched the same location, I could only find a residential house.
Could the company be operating from a residential house? Or did they randomly pick a listed house in order to hide their real location?
Bottom Line
Overall, there are a lot of red flags that suggest Mysnugbean.com may be a scam. The many customer reviews from the site seem to be lifted from Amazon. While the Twitter pictures seem photoshopped and I could not click on the pictures. The dates also seem odd as the tweets are from last year even though the website was started in June 2022.
Due to the reasons mentioned in this article, customers should exercise caution when shopping from this website.
