Followyourlegend.com has been getting a lot of attention of late and that’s why we decided to take a look. With a flux of many dubious online shops, it can be hard to know who to trust. In this review, we will analyze Followyourlegend.com and give you as much information to make an informed decision.
Followyourlegend.com is an online store that sells bracelets, hats, plushies, necklaces, and more. They claim to be on a mission to create products that inspire you to connect with the earth and form a community that fights to protect it. They even show wildlife conservation efforts from Africa to back their claim. But are they legit or a scam? Let’s find out.
When were they started?
According to ScamAdviser.com and Whois.com, Followyourlegend.com was started in 2016, making the site over 5 years old. Usually, the older the site, the more likely it's going to be legit. But according to archive.org, the site has been very inconsistent throughout the years. In some cases, the site has gone offline for many months, which begs the question, why would a legit site go offline for that long?
The reviews
Despite the site being over 5 years old, we could only find a handful of reviews online. In fact, the only reviews we got were from Trustpilot with an overall rating of 2.6 stars out of 5. This is considered poor and most customers are complaining of never receiving their products after making a purchase.
Interestingly, we found that on the site, there are many products with lots of reviews. Some products have as many as 900 reviews. Most of these reviews are positive but there is no way of verifying if they are authentic or fabricated.
High-pressure sales tactics
Usually, when a webshop uses pressure tactics to sell its products, it's never a good sign. With Followyourlegend.com, they seem to use this tactic with most of their products having huge discounts of up to 50% off.
On top of that, there are pop-up notifications in the bottom left corner of customers buying products. Again, this is a common trick used by scammers who want to put you under psychological pressure to make a purchase.
Social media
There are several links to various social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok. When we followed the Facebook link, it led us to a page under the same name but they listed a different domain.
This is very confusing as there is no mention of Legendbracelet anywhere on the webshop. This is a common trick used by scammers who bring about a lot of confusion by using different names.
On their Instagram page, we also found that they were directing customers to contact them through an email with another domain.
Similar pages
On the top of the page, there are several listed categories like; “Legend bracelets, Legend plushies, Legend hats, and necklaces. However, all these pages are similar with little to separate them.
Again, this is common with scammers who will go out of their way to look and sound sophisticated. The aim of the many pages is to look legit and convince buyers that they have many different categories.
Bottom Line
Overall, there is a high likelihood that Followyourlegend.com is a scam. Though they claim to support wildlife conservation efforts, there are a lot of red flags that are hard to ignore. The site has been on and off for a while in the past 5 years and the reviews, outside the site, are negative.
The social media pages direct us to another website while the pages here seem to be duplicated. They seem to use high-pressure tactics to push buyers into making rushed decisions. There is a likelihood that products purchased here will not be delivered as noted by the reviews on Trustpilot and comments on their social media pages. Caution is advised when shopping at Followyourlegend.com.
