Buyfia is a website that calls itself ‘Worldwide Electronics Store’. However, the majority of the products are not electronics at all. They have all sorts of items for sale, such as phone accessories, toys, tools and more. The domain name was registered in March 2020, yet the website development is not complete even six months later at the time of writing this article. This shows that it is a low-budget operation that puts no emphasis on user experience. It has a low Alexa rank, meaning that it is not very popular.
The website uses placeholder text all over and provides social media links that do not work. Since the website has been active for a few months now, it does not seem that any more effort will be put into the website by Buyfia’s operators.
While the original link for the website was Buyfia.com, it redirects to a new domain called mixdel.com since mid-September 2020. Mixdel is exactly the same website as Buyfia and even has the same logo. The domain name was probably changed to avoid new customers from finding out about the negative reviews.
Buyfia’s prices are highly suspicious as they are offering products as extremely steep discounts - more than 75% in some cases. This suggests that Buyfia may be pulling a bait-and-switch by using images of legitimate products in advertisements but sending counterfeits to customers. The other possibility is that they would not send products to customers at all.

The pages for these don’t exist at all on mixdel.com, while on buyfia.com, they were dummy pages using placeholder text.
Buyfia does not provide any contact information as the link to the Contact Us page does not work. Though the website does not mention any social media pages, there exists a Facebook page with the name ‘Buyfia.com’ that is using the same logo. It has 29 likes and the page was created in July 2020. It is listed as a ‘Business Service’ and the About text is in Azerbaijani language. This page was probably created for the purpose of running ads, though I did not find any active ads running during my research.
